Oklahoma City Thunder game 1 of the NBA finals:
The Thunder is at home and took full advantage of that only until late in the game. On the 1st quarter Heat lead 29-22; on the 2nd quarter both tied with 25 points; by the 3rd quarter, with 15 seconds left, Oklahoma City took the lead for the 1st time in the game, ending the quarter with a score of 19-27, finally ending the 4th quarter with a 21-31 win over the Heat.
Being at home with a packed crowd, Oklahoma City Thunder's fans were at the edge of their seats watching 23 year old Kevin Durant single-handedly take Le Bron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh to school!
It wasn't until the very end of the 3rd quarter that the Thunder let loose on the Miami Heat, who led by up to 13 points in the first half. Kevin Durant scored 17 out of 36 points in the second half. Cool, calm and collected, this young man carried the Thunder to their game 1 win.
As far as the Miami Heat goes, Le Bron James and company are looking for redemption for their bad performance in the 2011 finals against Dallas. Le Bron scored a total of 30 points last night, while Wade's and Bosh's performance was mediocre; the Heat was simply not in the game after halftime anymore.
