The Summer Games at the London 2012 Olympics has been action packed from the opening ceremony! Olympic Games are an excellent source of a pure form of sportsmanship, competing at Olympic level, representing your country under the watchful eye of the world and against the absolute best athletes from around the world all competing for medals, objects to be cherished and kept as family heirlooms because they are representative of achievements during competition but have really no monetary value because an Olympic Gold Medals are not really made of Gold like some people believe but certainly are a symbol of a free world giving an individual an opportunity to display athletic God Given talents without monetary gains to me is impressive..
At every Olympic event there always arises a rivalry... This time around it is evidently USA and China who have engaged in rivalry unleashing a race for medals and occupance of the revered #1 Rank which has been exchanged by USA and China several times since the Summer Games kicked off.
USA and China are currently tied at 23 medals each, though China occupies #1 rank because of a substantial lead 13 Gold medals to USA's 9 Gold medals. USA has been very successful in the category of Swimming, Gymnastics and Shooting thus far, China has been strong with categories of Diving and Weightlifting in Gold medals as far as Silver medals the USA shows strength in Swimming, Diving and in Bronze Swimming and Archery, as far as China Silver medal count shows strength in Judo, Archery and Shooting and in Bronze Swimming and Shooting.
As the Games progress the rivalry will too, which will feed the competitive spirit of the Olympic Games.
